Esta computadora, a pesar de que aun no le he aumentado la memoria RAM de 8 GIGAS, responde muy bien para el tipo de trabajo que realizo. Mis planes es ampliar la memoria RAM a 64 GIGAS y disfrutar de todo el potencial que ofrece. Así como está, he podido realizar proyectos muy específicos en Blender, que es un programa de animación y modelado 3D. Ha fluido muy bien y me sorprendió. Comparándola con mi antigua IMac modelo año 2013 con 16GIGAS de RAM y procesador dual core (si no me falla la memoria) esta computadora modelo 2021, es un cohete. =) Ya quiero verla en acción con 64 GIGAS de RAM. =)En resumidas, para Video edición, edición de fotografía y composición 2D, es un buen equipo. Me dedico profesionalmente a dichas áreas.Usuario de Apple MAC desde el año 2000. Ordenadores utilizados anteriormente: Torre G4 powerPC, Torre G5 Dual processor, Torre Dual processor Intel Quadcore, laptop 13 pulg modelo 2008, Laptop 15 pulg Macbookpro modelo 2010, Imac modelo late 2013 y ahora Imac modelo 2021. Creo que con esto aclaro que tengo experiencia con estos equipos y me fascinan!Suerte con tu compra!PSDTA: lo único que no me gusta de la IMAC es el mouse inalámbrico. Kept in ups truck in 107 degree weather for 3 days
I’m surprised it started up. When it arrived it was BOILING hot. It arrived in my town at 8:30am on a Saturday morning and sat inside a boiling hot truck for 3 days until it was finally delivered Monday evening. Extremely disappointed that this item was shipped ground with no regard for the extreme temperatures, since computers should be kept at much lower temperatures in order to function properly.First issue was, after it located my wifi network, it would not connect. Eventually after restarting, it connected. Then, upon discovering an update was available, I received a very disturbing message saying I could not update the app due to a “refund ” or because it was already “purchased under a different apple id”. Immediately I felt the brand new computer I ordered was, in fact, not brand new. I called apple and a rep shared my screen and helped get it squared away. Basically, if that happens to you, you need to delete the apps that need to be updated and reinstall them.The monitor has a nice picture on it. There is a lot for me to get used to, I haven’t owned an imac in 25 years.UPDATE: 6/16/22: It’s almost been one year since I ordered my iMac. I’m typing on it right now. I wanted to add one update to my review. The computer makes a LOT of noise when running! It is now almost summer again, and I don’t recall hearing this kind of racket during the winter, so I’m thinking the computer can not handle any amount of heat. That’s the only thing I can think of as far as why it is making such a loud racket while running. There’s not much I can do about the temperature, even with a/c on, it’s still going to be hot inside, as we live in the desert. I will be shutting it down every night until winter comes.

It’s a nice iMac
I’ve been using a late model 2013 iMac for a few years and have enjoyed it for music production. It still runs great with no problems at all (just sold it) but when I saw the new iMac’s out I decided to upgrade for the extra horsepower and the ability to process music faster while using plugins in the DAW. After I received it from Amazon, I ordered more RAM for it. Sadly my first purchase of Samsung RAM didn’t work no matter the configurations I tried. I returned that RAM and then bought Timetec Hynix RAM which worked the first try. The new iMac runs exceptionally well and doesn’t glitch at all while using the recording studio software Logic Pro X and the plugins I use. Also, I wanted to buy an Intel CPU iMac to use Bootcamp to install Windows and have both platforms on one machine. The installation works like a dream and no problems using programs in each operating system. I appreciate the extra power and how smooth it works. I did buy the core I7 CPU and it’s fast!! I know some people want to wait for a design refresh but I actually like the looks of the design so that wasn’t a deal breaker for me. I did buy a software fan program to help keep it cool which works well enough. I’m satisfied with it and am glad I made the purchase. Thank you Amazon and Apple for the seamless buying experience!!

LOVE
This 27″ iMac replaces one I had for 10 years that was still working but kept having kernel panics from old software that I didn’t know how to remove. Of course, this baby is lightning fast, and I like the Mac substitutes for Microsoft Office that I didn’t have on my old computer. It was a little frustrating at first to get it to look the way I was used to. Then Big Sur wanted to be downloaded, and I had to make a few more adjustments. The weirdest thing I had forgotten maybe?? was how teeny the password box and everything else appeared until I figured out how to make everything appear bigger. I guess I did that 10 years ago, but I was surprised I had to go through so many settings to make me happy. Now I’m all set, and I couldn’t be happier. I did buy a slanted holder for the keyboard; it was too flat for me since it’s now rechargeable instead of having a battery compartment elevating it in the back. I can’t imagine anyone not liking this computer. What’s not to like (well, except the $$)? Hope this one lasts me 10 years, as well.

Great iMac model for home use.
This is iMac 27 inch 2020 model with 5K display, and I upgrade the memory from 8GB to 128 GB, but looks I do not need such big memory for routine work. Anyway, the big the better.The display is brilliant, and the screen size is big enough to read ebook. My daughter used iPad to read ebooks, but the font size is a little small especially when two pages on one screen, so after I bought this 27 inch model, I created an account for her to share this computer, and she loves it so much!I also use this iMac to work from home, and the computing performance as well as the large screen is better than the laptop which makes work more efficient.In general, this is great product for home whatever for study, work or entertainment.

Brilliant display and fast
This computer replaced a Dell running Windows 10. It had 4GB of memory and was excruciatingly slow. The iMac came with 8GB of memory and was much faster than the Dell. I installed an additional 32GB of RAM, easily done through an access door in the back, so there should not be any memory issues affecting speed. The display panel is huge and has crystal clear display. It was a bit of a learning curve to get used to the Mac, but it is mostly intuitive. The iMac is rather pricey compared to the Dell, but is superior in every way. This one is used to conduct online piano lessons and the camera picture clarity is superb. We added an external microphone, but the onboard one probably would have worked. Overall we are very happy with this purchase and are glad we made the switch.

Big, powerful and beautiful
Apple seems to be making better and better iMacs. This one is a beauty – fast, amazing display, powerful, newest operating system easy to learn. I don’t quite know why the review asks you to review thickness – for years these iMacs have been thin. And sheerness? One thing I do like about this new model is that the unit high enough so that when tilted forward I could. slip a sound bar under it. The 5K Retina display is almost scary! There are a few features of the latest OS that I find cumbersome and many that I have no need for. But there is nothing else for home use that compares with this unit. One complaint: All the cardboard and styrofoam involved in shipping this is a nightmare to get rid of. Some of the cardboard is so stiff it is difficult to handle.

The last Intel i7 chipset is still a proven winner
I am not an Apple or a PC fanboy, I just appreciate getting a solid return on investment. I also don’t care for the latest M1 24″ iMac product with the same bezel chin but absent the Apple logo, the lack of user-upgradeable RAM, and boisterous colors.While I wait for a few generations of the M1/M1X chipset to reach maturity, I will maximize the proven reliability of the Intel i7 chipset, 5500XT GPU and the flexibility to add my own RAM. Although the thermal output of the i7 is higher than the M1, I am completely satisfied with the video editing and rendering times with the i7 generation, and overall performance rivals or exceeds that of the much more expensive iMac Pro.My advice is to add the 10 gigabit Ethernet upgrade if you can, to help with resale down the road.

Apple iMac
This is my third machine and couldn’t be happier. Went from a 21.5″ to the 27″ Retina and what a difference. Use a lot for work filling in applications and the size and detail of the new machine are amazing. Have had some intermittent software glitches so will have to monitor those. Overall I love this machine and Apple.Edit: After having the unit for 1 1/2 years my perspective has changed considerably. After having virtually no problems with my previous Macs I can’t say the same for this one. Periodically does random things, powers down, lose control of keyboard, desktop icons disappear etc. Took it to Apple and of course they could find no issues. Their only recommendation was to erase absolutely everything on the computer and rebuild it.

NO MEMORY OF THERE BEING NO MEMORY
It came with barely enough memory to get itself set up but I was needing more memory within 2 weeks of low functioning use. Wow. Not like my 2005 IMac. Oh well. I Love Apple and I know they are a young struggling company fledgling start up barely making any money so I guess I will stick with them for now too bad though I’m going to now have to spend more money to buy more memory to finish the work they should have done before selling it, maybe in the future they can build up their profit margins to allow giving their costumers more memory so justify the high price tag. Good luck guys. 🙄

I have spent over 24 solid hours trying to fix and repair a broken computer
Immediately it was malfunctioning in the Music app. Then my Zoom apps would not function properly. Then my gaming apps regularly froze and created spectacular bizarre images on my screen that I could only hard-crash my way out of. I spent 45 minutes with Amazon support first, then 45 minutes with Apple support for the Music problem. Then a series of awkward phone appointments with Apple most of which resulted in getting a call and having no message until the voice said: “We’re sorry you have not responded. You will have to reschedule.” This after I was screaming and yelling and ultimately pushing buttons trying on the third and fourth times to get a response. Then I got a time set up when Apple would call ME. They never called. Then I called again and spent an hour with the very nice and patient Apple technician, but ultimately it did not resolve the problem. Throughout all of this were were multiple reloads, restarts, reboots, re-imaging, re-stripping, all of which would take up to three hours at a time. And still it does not work.. NOW I am not seeing a “return” option here, after $3,000 and a badly functioning machine. I’m furious and don’t even know where to go next.Addendum: Amazon was very helpful in arranging for me to return my computer. I had saved the boxing materials, packed it all up, printed the special label they e-mailed me, and delivered it safely to UPS. Amazon made returning it blessedly NOT painful.

Great buy so far.
My IMac arrived a day early in perfect condition. I was able to add an additional 32gb of memory for a total of 40gb and am very pleased with the performance. I was surprised to find out this was the 3.8ghz i7 processor which is faster than what I was expecting. Over all I would recommend this product and seller.

Disappointed
Ordered this from amazon because it was a hundred dollars less than at the apple store. When I got it, i was surprised to find it had a corded keyboard. I did not even think apple had a ordered keyboard. That’s why it was cheaper. This is my second apple 27″ and to be honest, out still has some issues that I’m trying to get around. All on internet connections. Mac a fee blocks the internet and I have to keep shutting down internet and starting over and clearing out the cache. My son got the same unit from apple and has a remote keyboard and has no problems with his.

Not a PC
This was a present for my wife. The learning curve to switch from a PC to a Mac is long. She is moving toward learning Apple but the words they use are different and each day brings her closer to being able to use a Mac as a real computer. No information is provided. Thank you, YouTube. Mac users claim that it is the greatest thing since sliced bread but only if you use Mac from the get-go or have a tutor.

Worked fine for the first 30 days only
Worked great for the first month. But as soon as the return window expired, it started glitching. It freezes. The Airdrop works 50% of the time. And many times I have to force shut down because apps will freeze.

Works great!
Very nice system. I did end up adding some additional RAM which was easy and inexpensive. Use mostly for Adobe Premier Videos and it handles the rendering really well. Worth the price for a reliable machine. Have several Mac’s and they are solid machines and don’t easily get bogged down running robust software.

5k display not that great, my 2012 iMac screen is somehow better and can stare at it longer. Also only comes 8GB of RAM small SSD and weak video card.

iMac Desktop is nice to look at each morning
I’ve had my for about two weeks now. I can’t help but think if I could have the money or the computer which on would I want. The money doen’t compare to the plans and work I have cut out for this device over the next few years. I plan to max out its hardware capabilities with time as I get more money for ram upgrades. So far I am beyond please with its power and speed. Drop the mic.

That’s my second iMac 27″. First is 2010 and new one is a big difference, for sure. First of all, old one is still working and being used side by side for some reasons. New one will allow you to get things old one will not handle. I will wait for some time before getting new Apple CPU. This one is working well and lets hope it will perform as well as 2010.

Great deal on a 27″ iMac
I am a Mac Evangelist so am fully in the Apple Ecosystem. Bought the 512 SSD version with i5 chip for $90 off and then another $60 off getting an Amazon Direct card. So for me it was all about the best price on the new iMac. My son with special needs loves it and faster than our 2017 iMac 21.5″ with normal hard drive.The graphics and speed are excellent though I will say the 27″ is a huge screen with excellent picture that I am not used to since usually on my MacBook Air 13″

Lovely upgrade!
Arrived quickly. My wife is just starting a photography company and has been using a second hand iMac 21.5”. She loves this new computer. It’s just what she needs. It’s fast when uploading & editing photos. This is not her full time job; she does a couple shoots per months so it’s perfect for what she needs.Beautiful graphics. iCloud enabled her to have both units on and transfer everything over to the new unit swiftly. Great Christmas present!

Real shame Apple has chosen to move away from Intel
Bought this to replace older imac with intel CPU. Really like having one computer that can run Windows and iOS in the same box. New box seamlessly allows me to run Microsoft FS2020 and still switch back to all my Apple applications. Probably my last Apple purchase.

40 years with a pc and now this. One thing to note. There appear to be NO programs teaching seniors how to operate Big Sur. I have bought and returned many manuals that claimed to teach, but were techie tombs.
